Ismet Habili, a 46-year-old man from Kavaja, was driving a Volvo when he was suddenly shot with a firearm while on the move on Mihal Popi Street, in the 1 Maji neighborhood of Tirana.
The bullets that riddled the car caused fatal injuries, killing him instantly.
The scene was grim: the car went out of control and crashed into the wall of an apartment building on Mihal Popi Street, near Dinamo Stadium in the 1 Maji neighborhood, very close to the Komuna e Parisit area.
It appears that the shooting was carried out with a silencer, as some residents said they did not hear gunshots, but only the sound of the car crashing before coming to a stop against the building’s wall.
The investigative team, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, is continuing procedural actions to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
