Prizren lawyer Gent Gjini has filed a criminal complaint against Serbia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs, Ivica Dačić, over his statements regarding the reoccupation of Kosovo and the placement of the Serbian flag in Prizren.
According to Gjini, these statements constitute a violation of Kosovo as a state, and could also affect public safety and constitutional order.
“Such statements hurt us as a people, as a state and as a nation, putting us at even greater risk, especially when they come from the number two. It is very easy through them to facilitate their objectives and goals,” Gjini declared.
The lawyer requested that Dačić be banned from entering the territory of Kosovo, with particular emphasis on municipalities where Serbs make up the majority.
“I considered it reasonable and necessary to file a criminal complaint against Ivica Dačić, in order to permanently ban him from entering the territory of Kosovo, especially in Serb-majority municipalities, which they constantly aim to visit and create anomalies there,” Gjini said.
