The police are currently investigating the theft of a motor vehicle that occurred on Wireless Road on Tuesday, May 20, and have appealed to anyone who may have information about the incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) at 462-3913/14 or CrimeStoppers at 800-TIPS (8477).
The incident reportedly took place around 2:20pm when the driver of a blue Honda Fit, registration number R5234, parked the vehicle and inadvertently left the keys in the ignition. He discovered the vehicle missing after he returned to the area where he left it.
However, after conducting a thorough search, the police located the car in the Cassada Gardens area. It has since been taken to Police Headquarters for further investigation.
The police administration is again urging all motorists to refrain from leaving their vehicles unattended and unsecured with the keys inside.
