Toronto police are investigating after shots were fired at several buildings in East York on Sunday.
Investigators say evidence of gunfire was discovered around 5 a.m. at two buildings in the Thorncliffe Park Drive and Overlea Boulevard area.
Yellow caution tape could be seen at both 47 and 49 Thorncliffe Park Drive.
At least five shots can be heard in surveillance video obtained by CityNews and neighbours say they heard up to seven shots.
“I’m trying to keep calm but deep down I’m really worried,” said one building resident. “I don’t know if I’m scared or not but I’m literally worried, this is very disappointing.”
Police say a light-coloured sedan was seen fleeing the area, however, there was no further suspect description available.
