A Halloween party in Chandler’s Ford, near the town of Eastleigh in southern England, ended with five teenagers seriously injured. The young people are aged 16 and 17.
The attack took place on Saturday, shortly after 10:30 p.m., on Park Road. According to suspicions, several unidentified people entered the premises where the party was being held, after which the stabbings occurred.
Hampshire Police said that among those injured were three 16-year-old boys and two 17-year-old teenagers. All five were taken to hospital for medical treatment.
Witnesses told the BBC that several ambulances arrived at the scene. One of them said they had seen a person run out of the house, shouting that they had been stabbed and that two people were chasing them.
The authorities have cordoned off the area, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances and identify those responsible. Police have asked witnesses and anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Inspector Elizabeth Pirie, who is leading the investigation, said she understood the concerns of local residents. She thanked the community for its cooperation and patience.
Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis expressed her support for the injured and their families, and thanked the police and emergency services for their swift response.
Jarvis urged the public not to speculate or share information that has not been confirmed.
