Peel Regional Police (PRP) say 10 arrests have been made with more than 100 charges laid through Project High Guard, an eight-month investigation targeting a violent criminal network allegedly linked to carjackings and high-end vehicle thefts across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).

PRP authorities detailed the results of the sweeping investigation on Monday in Mississauga.

Police say the probe centered on 21 incidents, including alleged carjackings that left victims with serious injuries.

On Sept. 3, 10 individuals, including two unidentified youths, were arrested and more than $1 million in vehicles alleged to have been stolen were recovered.
