A 22-year-old woman has been charged following a stabbing at Mississauga’s local bus terminal on Friday night.
Police in Peel Region were on patrol in the terminal near Square One mall just after 9:30 p.m. when bystanders alerted them to an incident nearby. Officers pursued the suspect who was quickly taken into custody.
Tyannah Witty, 22, of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation.
A man in his 30s suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated and released from hospital, according to police.
“At this time, it does not appear that the victim and accused were known to one another. The circumstances leading up to the incident remain under investigation,” police said in an update on Saturday.
