A man was killed during a stabbing at a party in Mississauga early Sunday morning.
Emergency crews were called to an industrial building in the Britannia area, near Tomken and Kamato Roads, just before 5 a.m.
First responders located an unidentified man with “obvious stab wounds” upon arrival.
Police attempted to perform life-saving measures, but the victim was pronounced dead.
Peel Regional Police said the suspect fled the area on foot. Detectives believe the suspect was an attendee of the party, but his identity is currently unknown.
Authorities are appealing for witnesses who were at the party to come forward.
“It was a decent size party, that’s why we believe there’s others who may have witnesses this incident and we’re urging them to come forward,” said Acting Duty Insp. Ian Plummer.
“The investigation is in its infancy so we’re unsure about the relation between the victim and the suspect,” Plummer added.
