Clashes on “Dëshmorët e Kombit” Boulevard have intensified, amid chaotic scenes.
After firing large amounts of tear gas and using water cannons to disperse the crowd in front of the Prime Minister’s Office, police and rapid-intervention officers launched another operation on the ground.
Police officers broke through the cordons and moved among the protesters, where they began making the first detentions. Citizens and young people were seized and pulled away by the officers.
Protesters’ attempts to prevent the detention of their fellow citizens led to physical clashes. Tear gas and chaos continue to engulf the entire length of the boulevard, while the situation remains critical.
